Ecology

Learn about nature and the north woods with the Ecology staff! The Ecology area offers a vast array of merit badges, while also leading a wide variety of programs.

• Some popular programs include bog walks, animal races, star identification, edible ecology, and many more.
• Ecology offers at least ten merit badges, from beginner badges such as Mammals, to the Eagle-required Environmental Science badge.
• Scouts can feel free to stop by anytime, check out the turtle pen, talk to the staff, learn more about their favorite nature-related subjects, or even earn some conservation service hours.
• Every Ecology area also features a weather rock—one of the oldest forms of weather forecasting in existence.
