Snow Huskies

Snow Huskies is an introductory program designed to teach younger Scouts how to stay warm in the winter while having fun. 
Activities Available: Cross Country Skiing, Snow Shoeing, Broomball, Winter Nature Hike, Tubing, Team Building Games, Orienteering, Winter Cooking, Parachute Shelter.
Dates: Weekends in January and February.
Sleeping Outside: None
Grade Level: Recommended for all grade levels.
Cost: $67.00


Spearhead is the first introduction to sleeping outside in the winter time.  Learn how to stay warm and have fun!  Choose from our long list of activities.  

Activities Available: Winter Shelter Building, Ice Climbing, Kite Flying, Geocaching, Cross Country Skiing, Tubing, Snow Shoeing, Broomball, Human Foosball, Team Building Games, Orienteering, Winter Cooking

Dates: Weekends in January and February
Sleeping Outside: Saturday Night
Grade Level: Recommended for 7th grade and above.
Cost: $79.00


Sleep outside two nights. This program is only available on Martin Luther King Weekend and President's Day Weekend. Once you have experienced the Spearhead program move on to the Expedition Program where your skills will be tested and honed.  Learn more than just how to stay warm; learn to survive.

Activities Available: Wilderness Survival Merit Badge, Survival Scenarios, Winter Shelter Building, Ice Climbing, Kite Flying, Geocache for your Food, Cross Country Skiing, Sled Shoot, Snow Shoeing, Team Building Games, Winter Cooking
Dates: January 13-16, 2017 and February 17-20, 2017
Sleeping Outside: Saturday Night and Sunday Night
Grade Level: 7th grade and above with half of your crew having already participated in the Spearhead program.

Draft Horse Logging Camp Program

Stay at the Knapp-Stout Logging Camp at Tomahawk in a Sweedish dove-tailed cabin heated by wood stove. Learn what it was like to be a lumberjack in 1893 in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. This is only offered select weekends. Weekends may be cancelled if a minimum of 15 youth is not met per weekend.
Activities Available: Each Scout will limb a tree, and use a two-person saw to cut the tree into 16' sections. Scouts will then take turns driving a team of draft horses as they pull their log out of the woods. Scouts will cook hardy meals, blacksmith, and learn the legends of Logging in Wisconsin over a hundred years ago. 

Dates: January 13-15, January 27-29, February 3-5
Sleeping Outside: Both Friday and Saturday night will be spent in the wood heated cabin.
Grade Level: 7th grade and above.
Cost: $140.00 for Youth, $67 for Adults

Dog Sledding

Stay at our mushers camp located near the south end of camp.  There, you will drive and ride a sled dog team, care for the dogs, and have some winter adventures.  
Dates: Weekends in January & February (not offered last weekend of February)
Sleeping Outside: Option to stay inside Saturday Night or Camp Outside.
Grade Level: 7th grade and above.
Cost: $225.00 for Youth, $67 for Adults

Winter Camp School

Winter Camp School training is available to adults and older youth in December the weekend before Christmas. Learn how to run your own weekend winter camp from our experienced volunteer trainers. Prepares you to camp at any of our council weekend camps in the winter. Training dates can be found on the winter camp registration site.
