T2: Take Tomahawk To The Next Level
T-2 is a week-long high adventure program, designed for Scouts who are at least 14 years old, and are searching for a challenge and adventure beyond the traditional Boy Scout summer camp program.
There are three different T-2 programs: Advanced Skills Expedition, In Camp Experience or Out of Camp Adventure.
Advanced Skills Expedition
New pilot program offerred at a one-time reduced fee for 2010 designed for older Scouts interested in learning advanced skills focused around climbing, sailing, and kayaking including:
- Climbing instructional training
- Climbing on the Tomahawk Mega Tower
- Natutal rock climbing on the North Shore
- Advanced sailing and kayaking skill training on Long Lake
- Use of rowing sculls, 22' Chrysler sailboats, and catamarans
In Camp Experience
This week-long high adventure program takes place primarily on camp property, and involves nearly ever adventure Tomahawk has to offer. It includes:
- Climbing on the Mega-Tower
- COPE – both low elements, and the high ropes course
- Disc Golf
- Horseback Riding
- Mountain Biking
- Kayaking on Long Lake
- And more!
Out of Camp Adventure
This week-long high adventure program involves programs both at Tomahawk and outside of camp, including:
- Backcountry mountain biking
- High and Low COPE at Tomahawk
- Mega-Tower Climbing
- Rock climbing at Taylor’s Falls
- Whitewater kayaking on the Brule River
- And more!
